Give

Thank You!

Thank you for your interest in making a gift to Northwest United Methodist Church. Your generosity enables Northwest United Methodist Church to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ by serving people's spiritual and human needs

As part of our annual stewardship campaign, we create a brochure celebrating the past year of ministry that gives more detail about the ministries your giving supports. This button will take you to our 2024 brochure, A Living Legacy.

Kroger Community Rewards Program

Kroger will issue the church a portion of each purchase made by church members and friends who register in the Kroger Community Rewards Program.  All you need to do is enroll online in the program and designate Northwest United Methodist Church as the non-profit organization you would like your purchases to benefit.  Anyone – friends, relatives, neighbors – can enroll online and choose to have their purchases benefit the church!  You no longer have to renew enrollment each year; you can check the bottom of your Kroger receipt to see if you are registered for Northwest. If you would like to enroll, click the button below, create and account, and use our organization number: FR737.
Legacy Partners

Legacy Partners

Living Legacy Partners were established in 2012 and provides an opportunity to give more permanent gifts to Northwest which are separate from the day to day funding of church expenses. With the exception of the Real Estate fund, our funds are endowment funds and as such only 4-5% of the fund balance can be disbursed each year. Through additional gifts along with investment returns, we hope to continually expand outreach and programs at Northwest. Find more information about some of our current funds below.

How to Give
Are you considering a gift or a commitment that would help further the work of the Church long into the future? There are many ways to give including cash contributions, donations of stock or life insurance or remembering Northwest UMC in your estate.

Legacy Funds are held at the Columbus Foundation and gifts can be made using the button below.

Living Legacy Funds

This is a new fund initiated in June 2023 with founding gifts received through February 2024. The purpose of the fund is to enhance and expand the Music, Drama and Performance Ministry of Northwest United Methodist Church. Projects which expand individual participation – especially involving youth and young adults – are prioritized. The use of funds may include purchasing music or scripts; paying artists, composers, choreographers or production costs; maintenance and purchase of instruments or sound and visual technology. Other uses of the fund which support the Music, Drama and Performance ministry are expected and will also be considered.

The purpose of this fund is to assist in paying the costs of interested parishioners (not including current Northwest paid ordained pastors) for participating in events and activities which enhance Christian leadership, understanding of the church organization, and achieve spiritual growth. Priority for the funding of costs of participants shall be given to youth and young adult leaders. One example of a usage of this fund is for youth who attend summer mission trip.

The purpose of this fund is to support Children’s and Youth Programs at Northwest. This fund was established by Edith A. Hajek and Brian Hajek in 2013 as a memorial to their son, David Andrew Hajek. Additional contributions to this fund are welcome. Money from this fund has been used to support the Northwest Children’s Garden.

The purpose of this fund is to provide for the upkeep, improvement, and sponsorship of events within the Chapel in the Woods, the Memorial Garden, and the surrounding wooded area to the property lines east, west, and north of the Chapel in the Woods and Memorial Garden. Some funds from this were used in the addition of a labyrinth to the property and in expanding and updating the Memorial Garden.

The purpose of this fund is to support church needs over and above the annual budget. Distribution of this fund is determined after the Capital Management Committee receives a written request or a request from church leadership. As an endowment fund, 4-5% of this fund can be expended each year.
