Youth Ministries

At Northwest, we like to have fun within our youth ministry programs. And more importantly, we understand that it is totally possible to be a Christian and absolutely love life and have a blast! We offer multiple options for youth to get  involved from Sunday worship, bible studies, small groups and large group events . Our youth ministry is for 7-12th grade students.

Sunday mornings during the 9:45am worship service, we offer IGNITE which is an exciting way to learn more about God’s Word surrounded by some of your closest friends. You can find us weekly in the classrooms near the youth room in the basement of the church. Following IGNITE, we travel upstairs to the Ministry Center for the 11:00 contemporary worship service.

Sunday evenings we all gather for THE HAVEN which consists of dinner (Food. Score!) at 6:00pm in the youth room in the basement of the church, followed by worship time, a message, small group discussions and games. Lots and lots of games.

DIG

In January, we are excited to feature “DIG” on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm. This is a chance for Christian teens to come together and dig deeper into God’s word in small group discussions.

Social Service Projects

We also offer monthly Social Service (SS) Projects where we plug ourselves into ministries in the community, volunteering on a consistent and dedicated basis.  In our youth group, we constantly live the mindset, “We want what breaks God’s heart to break out hearts.” Poverty is around us in our own county and community. So as Christians, what are we supposed to do about it?

Here at Northwest, we spend time with God and each other trying to understand what exactly it is God wants us to do in our day to day lives. We’ve all heard the tag line, “What Would Jesus Do?” Here, we live it. If Jesus saw broken families, hungry children and burdened neighbors, what would he do? We believe Jesus calls all Christians to stand beside those in struggles.

Our Social Service Missions are local missions where we partner with organizations, ministries and other churches to bring stability to those hurting in our community. Together, we serve because Christ has called us to. Here at Northwest, we can’t think of a better reason to love our neighbors.

In case you can’t tell, we really like to have fun. And we have lots of events here at Northwest to constantly have fun while being a state of worship. We enjoy concerts, retreats, food, scavenger hunts, service projects and being absolutely random. We have programs for people who might not know who Jesus is and programs for people who have been Jesus followers their whole lives.

So basically, we like to have fun. And we totally understand what it means to worship Jesus and fellowship with each other in joy and laughter. We hope that you’ll be able to find a program or event that you just can’t pass up.
