Parents’ Morning Out
Parents’ Morning Out is a ministry of Northwest United Methodist Church that provides a support system to stay-at-home parents. Northwest UMC provides direction for the program and graciously donates use of its facilities.
The mission of the Parents’ Morning Out (PMO) program is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing Christian environment for children of the church and the community each week, while providing parents the opportunity to enjoy time for errands, appointments or simply time for themselves. The primary focus for the children involved in the program is socialization and nurturing. It is not a preschool, and does not focus on academics.
PMO accepts children ages 6 months to 5 years who have not yet entered kindergarten. Classrooms have two caregivers each and children will be placed in appropriate classrooms based on birth date.
The program is offered from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday mornings from September to May. Children may be dropped off in their classrooms at 9:25 a.m. with a packed lunch and will enjoy a morning of christian themed fun.
FEES
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50 per family, which is paid with the May fee at time of registration.

Monthly fees are due for September through April on the 1st of each month. A $10.00 late fee is added to payments made after the 15th of the month.

It’s hard to believe that the year is almost over! We had a wonderful time filled with lots of laughter, smiles, growing and love! We have thoroughly enjoyed watching your child grow, as this is such a precious age to teach. We will conclude this year with a sports theme. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can take our studies outside. The children are invited to wear a jersey or shirt representing their favorite team on May 9th. In art, we will stuff our own footballs and even make our own personalized “go team” pennant. On May 16th, we are planning a field day for the children of PMO. We will have outdoor games and a picnic lunch on church grounds (in front of Chapel in the Woods). Please make sure your child has on tennis shoes and clothing that can get messy.
