Life Groups

At NWUMC, we offer a variety of ways you can connect with others and continue your journey with Christ. We believe that small groups are the best vehicle for carrying out the mission of the church…”equipping the community of faith to become Jesus for the world.”  Small groups provide care, education, shepherding, outreach, and spiritual growth.  In essence, these groups become your “small church” when you are hurting, happy, or just want to hang out and have fun together.  Something special brings groups together.  It might be an activity that group members enjoy doing, like scrapbooking or playing basketball.  It might be a common life situation, like being single moms or adoptive parents.  The primary focus of small groups is to apply God’s truth to our lives so that we grow to become more like Jesus.  We will encourage all our groups to serve beyond the “group”.  You can join one of the many churchwide service opportunities like The Church for All People Breakfasts, serving at Manna Café, or Amistad events. You can also select a service project of your own.

Current Life Groups include a singles group; empty-nesters group; and several book clubs. To begin a new ministry life group or to obtain more information regarding a ministry, contact the church office.
