Health Ministry

The faith community’s role in healing ministry is rooted in scripture and is old as religion itself.  Health Ministry may serve a congregation through a variety of inter-related roles that provide opportunities to walk with members in need.  The Health Ministry Team provides a Community Nurse Liaison (CNL), a Registered Nurse who will be available to the congregation and will provide the following services: transportation to medical visits;  assistance developing questions for health care providers, such as oncologists; referrals to community agencies; help finding less expensive medications; and help finding medical equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches.  The CNL will also offer health screenings at the church, provide medical education programs, and support the Pastors with visitation to the homebound or hospitalized.  The point person for this ministry is Pat Dietsch who can be reached at pdietsch@columbus.rr.com or 935-0019.
